When we decided to remodel our kitchen, we talked with several General Contractors about the various possibilities. At the end of the interview process, it was Harry’s vision for the expanded space that really resonated with us. His level of experience in designing and re-designing custom homes is nothing short of amazing.
We knew that the process would be challenging; the inevitable disruption to our schedules, the meetings with various contractors, the potential for problems to arise…. thankfully, Mike minimized disruptions from the inevitable challenges we were about to experience. Mike’s careful attention to detail, punctuality, relentless follow-up and mutually shared goals and expectations were extremely important and appreciated. It made the difference between a stressful situation and what turned out to be a great experience and an even better kitchen.
We are thrilled with the outcome. Not only do we have a new kitchen; but also the manner in which the project came about essentially created a new house for us.

Provencal built my “Dream Home” in Oakbrook in the Trinity Lakes Developement. I came to work with Provencal through a referal of several friends which had built with the company in the past. The comment I still remeber to this day is that Provencal is a reliable company which builds fine custom homes. My wife and I were both very anxious in building a new home as this is truely a once in a life time expierence. From the initial design stage of building plans through completion of construction the project lasted for 15
months.

Provencal made the entire process from concept to completion a very pleasent experience. What I can say is both Harry and Mike are honest, reliable and show professionalism in all aspects of their work. Now five years later they are still as responsive as the day we met. I have also passed along my recommendation to several of my friends as well. Each of them have had a similiar experience and are very pleased to have worked with Provencal.

One of the best decisions we made when we decided to build our own home was to choose Provencal Construction to work on our “dream home”. From the architectural planning to design, from the choice of quality finishes to customer service, from the custom cabinetry to the elaborate mill work, Provencal delivered on all fronts. They worked closely with us not only on the choice of flooring, countertops, plumbing and cabinet finishes, but also helped us make the difficult decisions when it came to picking the right touches that make our home unique such as arches and fluted columns, decorative niches, elaborate molding and a truly majestic balustrade design that rises as a testament to the workmanship that Provencal and all the sub-contractors they work with provide to all their customers. Provencal also builds homes that last and are practically maintenance free since they use the top-of-the-line appliances and construction materials. Once our dream home was close to completion, they worked with us on the interior design and finally unveiled a home that exceeded our expectations and was quite beyond our imagination. Above all, working with Provencal and developing a lifelong relationship with Harry and Rhonda and Mike was what made the experience most rewarding.

I could trust Harry at every step and that was very important to me since I have no knowledge of construction and our house had a significant budget. His staff was efficient and courteous. In addition our 10,000 sq ft home was completed one week prior to the date Harry had promised us. I still go back to him and his staff when I have any questions or jobs on the house.

We have enjoyed our Provencal home in Ambriance (Burr Ridge, IL) immensely. It is jaw dropping gorgeous. The quality of construction is superb, and the follow up to resolve any questions or issues was prompt, courteous and thorough. The luxurious home theater is our favorite room, but the chef quality kitchen is a masterpiece and a close second. I would choose Provencal over any other builder I know. In fact, Provencal also completed the up-fit of our Burr Ridge office, and everyone who sees it is blown away. It makes me look forward to going there to work. I cannot say enough good things about Provencal – They are simply the best.

I am writing this letter to let you know how pleased we have been with the progress being made on our new home as well as with the quality of your work and professionalism of your staff. As you may recall, our relationship began several years ago when we hired you for a small remodel project at our previous house. We knew very little about you at the time but we realized right away that we had made the right choice. My wife and I were so impressed with the quality of your work and with the project management demonstrated by Mike that we didn’t even consider another builder when we decided to take the leap and build another home in Burr Ridge.

The experience we have had in building a home with Provencal is far superior to my two previous homebuilding experiences. You were extremely helpful during the design stage, providing us with some great ideas, and you have remained cognizant of our budget throughout this process, never pushing us to take on more than we wanted.

Mike Candella is also one of the best project managers we have ever worked with. He stays on top of the subs and communicates with me constantly – something we never got from our last two builders. And when issues arise during construction, which they always do, Mike would call to not only let me know what the issue was but to also make several suggestions as to how we can best address it.

Lastly, you and Mike have made the building process much less stressful for me than it could be because I know the two of you are constantly watching over and inspecting the home to make sure that every detail meets with your high professional standards for quality and craftsmanship. It’s clear that you take tremendous pride in your work and that your projects are very personal to you.

If you are ever asked by a prospective client for references, please feel free to pass along my name. I have never recommended contractors to people I know because I never wanted to feel responsible if they have a bad experience, but I would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending Provencal to anyone. Thanks again to both you and Mike for the great job. We can’t wait to move in.

Dear Harry and Mike,

In August of 2005 Joe and I purchased a beautiful home in Falling Water. We loved the house, but we decided that we wanted to personalize it and make it totally ours. The former owners told us that Provencal built the home for them in 1996. They gave us your phone number after telling us they would recommend you over any other builder they had ever worked with.

We began working together in January of 06 and for the first time in my life I enjoyed the remodeling process. The job was completed in May. The quality of your work was even better than we expected. We were (and are) so happy in with our home.

Joe was so impressed with Provencal that he hired you to work your particular brand of magic on the conference room at his corporate building. The room is spectacular.

In 2010 we decided it was time to do a major remodel of our home on Amelia Island, Florida. We knew that we could trust you to make it as beautiful and comfortable as our home in Falling Water. You did such a wonderful job that we have a hard time leaving this home.

Joe sold his company this past March. He has always dreamed of opening a restaurant. We bought a 9,000 square foot building in historic Fernandina Beach, on Amelia Island. We want Provencal to do the build out. After working with you we cannot imagine working with another builder. We know that you will build a restaurant that is as beautiful as it is functional and the workmanship will be impeccable.
